Shrinking The Film

Be
patient while shrinking.
Slowly
play the hair dryer over the shrink film about 10 inches away from
the film. If you get too close the hair dryer may melt the film.
You will begin to see it shrink and eliminate the wrinkles. Take
your time with the shrink process and the film will become almost
invisible.
Do
not over shrink the film, shrink it just enough to eliminate most
of the wrinkles. Over shrinking will not allow the film to flex
with the air pressure changes within the house and may cause the
film to pull out of the extrusion groove.
You
can trim the overlap leftover down to about 1 inch or less with
a utility knife or razor blade. The left over edge will curl and
roll up against the window frame when heated and not be noticeable.
As
you can see in the picture, the film is very clear and you can see
my old truck setting out in the driveway.
