Tools For The Job

Portable drill with small 1/16 bit
Hammer
-
Hack saw with fine tooth blade
-
Measuring tape
-
Needle nose pliers
-
Utility knife with sharp blade
-
Screen installation roller tool
-
Small flat file (not shown)
Pair
of scissors (also not shown)
These are fairly basic tools that
most do-it-yourself homeowners have around the house. The drill
shown is fairly expensive battery powered model ($200.00), but any
drill will do, as long as it will chuck up a 1/16 inch drill bit.
The
brown tool in the photo is the screen repair roller tool and should
be less than $5.00…also the hacksaw shown is an expensive model
($25.00) though any hacksaw will work. The fine tooth (32 teeth
per inch) hacksaw blade is fairly important as (32tpi) makes cutting
the aluminum extrusion much easier and produces a cleaner cut…requiring
less dressing with the file.
